A Visual Storyteller

Meet Yesenia Davila - a graduate student at Cal State Fullerton pursuing her master’s in Professional Communications. With a bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of New Mexico, Yesenia is a driven individual who is passionate about pursuing higher education to provide a better future for her three-year-old son.

During her two-year break from school, Yesenia worked remotely for a nonprofit organization as their Student & Marketing Coordinator. Her experience allowed her to utilize skills she had learned in school and singlehandedly created and managed a website, designed and hosted a virtual performance, as well as updated and enhanced existing social media accounts for the organization.

Yesenia aims to work in creative marketing within the field of communications, specifically with social media, magazines, or websites. She has a keen eye for design and has strategically planned her entry into grad school and estimated graduation date to align with her son’s entry into pre-k.
