A Visual Storyteller

Hello there! My name is Yesenia, and I am a dedicated professional with a master’s degree in Professional Communication from Cal State Fullerton. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from the University of New Mexico, where I graduated summa cum laude. My passion for higher education is driven by my commitment to providing a better future for my four-year-old son.

During a two-year break from my studies, I gained valuable experience working remotely as the Student and marketing Coordinator for a nonprofit organization. In this role, I utilized my academic skills to create and manage a website, design and host a virtual performance, and update and enhance the organization’s social media accounts.

​

Additionally, I served as a marketing coordinator for a tech company in Southern California. Here, I managed multiple communication channels, prioritized tasks effectively, and redesigned all internal communication materials. This diverse experience has sharpened my project management, content creation, and client communication skills.

My career aspirations lie in creative marketing within the field of communications, specifically with social media, magazines, or websites. Excited about the bright future ahead, I am eager to share my experience, past projects, and current work portfolio with those interested.
